Great Golf Course Reviews
Recently while surfing the web, I found a goldmine of golf course reviews by Wayne Freedman on the abc7news.com website. Included are reviews of many of the Southern California / San Diego and Nevada / Las Vegas and Arizona / Phoenix courses that Showtime Golf provides tee time booking for. Twin Oaks Golf Club Review - 45 minutes outside San Diego, CA. This brief review is mixed, but overall, Wayne calls it “a good course”.

Angel Park Golf Club Review - Wayne gives this Las Vegas course a glowing review. This long review provides detailed information about both the Palm and Mountain courses as well as mentioning the excellent service, friendly staff and good restaurant.

Las Sendas Golf Course Review - Mesa, AZ. Wayne give Las Sendas “major kudos all around”. This player’s course offeres “splendid views” and a uniquely “spooky” landscape. Unique features include golf carts equiped with GPS tracking devices (to help navigate the hilly terrain and blind spots). They “illustrate hole routings, green profiles, pin locations, and, most importantly, yardages. ”

The Raven Club at South Mountain - Located in Phoenix, Arizona, Wayne says “you might take most of the day to realize you’re actually playing golf in Phoenix. Here, in the desert, architects David Graham and Gary Panks planted 7100 pine trees. They frame the fairways and augment your sense of geographic disorientation, lending a Midwest feeling to the surrounds, while providing a sense of quiet seclusion.” Wayne praised the numerology of the yardages and especially enjoyed the “visually alluring and daunting” 324-yd 5th. “You’ll be back” quips Wayne.

The Raven at Verrado Course Review - This review discusses not only the greens and individual holes, but also the surrounding town. As Wayne says, “The Raven at Veraddo will not disappoint. The clubhouse and Cucina Restaurant are especially splendid, the course design clever and understated, and the conditioning divine. Put The Raven at Verrado on your must play list for your next visit to Scottsdale.”
