- Can I book a golf course online?
- Absolutely. Select a city: San Diego, Las Vegas, Palm Springs or Phoenix for a list of courses to book online in real time. You can check availability and even book tee times online. We are connected in real time to the courses’ tee sheets so once you click submit you are on the tee sheet. You’ll need to enter a credit card to process the transaction.

- Will I get an e-mail confirmation of my online booking?
- Yes. You will receive an e-mail confirmation immediately after booking an online reservation if you insert your correct e-mail address. You don’t need to bring it to the golf course, but it may be helpful for the “new” golf shop staff who may be checking you in.
- Can I call you to make a golf reservation?
- Yes. We are available to give you our advice and personal recommendations if you’re not sure where to play or the website is not informative enough. We are open daily from 7:00am to 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time, and you can call us toll free at (866) 661-2334
- Can I fax you to make a golf reservation?
- Yes. We are available to process your golf reservation via fax. We’ll need your name, contact number, credit card, expiration date, course, time, # of players, etc. and we’ll confirm your tee time with a fax back. You also may want to consider our Golf request form. We are open daily from 7:00am to 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time.
- Can I e-mail you to make a golf reservation?
- Yes. We are available to process your golf reservation via email. On one of our websites (San Diego, Las Vegas, Palm Springs or Phoenix), click on tee time reservations, then click the “request a tee time” button and fill out the request fields, including course and time preferences, number of players, if you will need rental clubs, and any questions or comments, and we will respond in less than 24hours. You can email us directly with requests, comments and questions at team@showtimegolf.com

- Do I pay you or when I get to the course?
- Your tee times will be charged by Showtime Golf and will have been pre-paid upon arrival. You only need to check in at the golf course under your last name, except at Torrey Pines Golf Club in which you will need both the phone number the reservation was booked under and a confirmation number (we’ll provide both to you).
- When do you charge my credit card?
- We charge your credit card at the time that the reservation reaches the cancellation deadline, which is usually 48 hours prior to the playing time.
- Can I split the charges up on more than one credit card?
Yes. - ↑ Back to Top
- Can I change a golf reservation?
- Yes, if you are outside of the cancellation period and depending on availability. If you want to add players, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request or you can book additional players by making an online tee time in the empty times for your foursome. At this time you are not able to reduce the amount of players online. You are required to cancel the entire booking and rebook with the updated player count.
- How do I cancel a tee time I made online?
- You can cancel an online booking by going to www.showtimegolf.com and clicking on “cancellations”. You will then be required to enter play date & play time, the confirmation number, and course ID that can be found on your e-mailed confirmation that you received when you booked your tee time.
- Why don’t you offer a single the ability to book online?
- Most golf courses will not allow single players to play by themselves . Most golf courses try to manage their “tee sheets” to get the optimum amount of golfers playing at their course everyday, and prefer foursomes golfing to ensure a faster pace, and in general all single players will be paired up with other to make a 3 or 4 some.
- Can I book a single golfer by calling you?
Yes. Some courses only allow single bookings 24 hours in advance, others you are able to book up to 180 days. - ↑ Back to Top
- How do I see a list of all the courses you offer and the price range of each?
- Just click on course list for the area you are interested in (San Diego, Las Vegas, Palm Springs or Phoenix). You will see a list of all the courses we have available, as well as the ability to sort by price, distance from airport, and the ability to book online.
- How can I get directions to a golf course?
- Please visit the golf course page and then select the golf course you are in search of. You will find the courses address, directions, and even an online mapping link for each of our partner golf courses.
- Can I reserve and pay you for rental clubs?
- Yes. Most courses offer rental clubs, and the manufacturer and prices do vary from course to course. Just let us how many sets you will need, whether they are right handed or left handed, and whether they are men’s or ladies sets, and we can add them to your tee time reservation. Some courses ask that you pay for the rental clubs at the course when you check in.

- Do you offer transportation?
- In San Diego, yes. Showtime Golf now offers VIP transportation packages for select golfing groups, and they can be reserved at a cost of $225.00 per vehicle. Your group may fit up to 8 players and 8 sets of clubs in each Suburban. Transportation packages must be booked 72 hours prior to your tee time.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- In most cases, cancellation policy is 48 hours, although some courses vary including 72-hours, 7-day, 8-day, and a non-refundable cancellation policy.
- What is your rain policy?
- If it is raining or looks as if it will rain, please contact Showtime Golf and we will gladly inform you of an individual course’s playability and any course closures due to the inclement weather. Because we offer such a wide variety of courses in a large area, weather from course to course can vary greatly. It is important that you find out course conditions without assuming that it is raining at your specific course. We abide by each courses individual rain refund policy, and in the event that the course is deemed “unplayable”, the reservation will be cancelled at no charge. Our general rain policy is as follows: If you book a tee time and it is raining (at the golf course) on the day you are scheduled to play, at the time you are scheduled to play, and the golf course is unplayable, we will give you a 100% refund of your green fee.

- Is there a dress code at the course?
- Yes. At most of our partner golf courses proper golf attire is required. Collared shirts, golf shoes with socks, and if permitted, shorts at a minimum of 16″ in length are the standard policy at most courses. Things to stay away from are denim, T-shirts, boots, sport or short shorts. Be sure to check the course shorts and spike policies.
- What does aeration mean?
- The aeration (or aerification) of greens (and sometimes fairways) occurs once or twice a year at most golf courses. To aerify, a piece of machinery cores the ground (punches holes and removes the dirt) in a certain pattern. This is done to loosen soil that has been compacted by golfers walking over it, opening up growing room for the grass roots and increasing oxygen to the roots. It usually takes 10 to 14 days for the holes to fill in and grow over.
- What does overseeding mean?
- The laying of grass seed on top of existing grasses to promote new growth or to replace the existing grass with a new strain for a season. Most commonly done by courses that use Bermuda grass, which goes dormant in winter. In the fall, a Bermuda grass course will put down ryegrass (or some other cold season type) seed on top of the Bermuda grass, timed so that as the Bermuda grass goes dormant the ryegrass grows in. Then, in spring, Bermuda grass will be seeded over the ryegrass. Many courses that overseed will close or offer discounted greens fees during these periods because the greens will be heavily sanded and the new grass may not be cut for a week to 10 days.

- How does Torrey Pines in San Diego work?
- Torrey Pines has 2 ways to book a tee time. The first is a “regular” tee time, which includes only the tee time, can be booked inside of one week before your playing date. Torrey Pines releases availability 7 days prior to the play date, at which time tee times can be booked on their automated phone system. In addition to the 7-day advance phone lottery system, Showtime Golf now has the ability to book you onto the world famous Torrey Pines Golf Course, host of the 2008 U.S. Open, a full 90-days in advance (if availability warrants)!Showtime Golf will act as your liason with the city of San Diego to coordinate tee times for anywhere from 2 to 12 players. (Singles can only be booked through the 7-day lottery system.) Times are very limited (usually 5 per course per day) and availability can take up to 72 hours to acquire, but both North and South courses can be booked through this process.A non-refundable coordination fee will be assessed from Showtime Golf as well as a non-refundable deposit from the city of San Diego. The remaining balance will be charged at the golf pro shop on the day of play. If you are unable to make your tee time, no further money will be owed other than the before mentioned coordination fee and deposit.
- If I book online, is my transaction secure?
- Yes. Showtime golf uses Authorize.net for all our credit card transactions. Recognized as an industry leader, Authorize.Net processes over one million transactions in a twenty-four hour period, and all information is encrypted using the latest 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 3.0 technology. Authorize.net sends all of it’s data and interacts with the customer’s bank using a secure, proprietary connection.
Authorize.Net receives the transaction via the Internet, securely encrypts it, and submits an authorization request to the customer’s Credit Card Issuer to verify both the account and funds availability. This usually takes around three seconds. - My credit card is good, why won’t your system accept it?
- We only accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Please check that your credit card information has been entered correctly. Double-check your card number and expiration date. If that does not work, e-mail, fax, or call us and we’ll be able to help you.

- What is SSL?
- Secure Sockets Layer, SSL, is the standard security technology for creating an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. The link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browser remains private. SSL is an industry standard and is used by millions of websites for the protection of their customer’s online transactions.
- Why don’t I see the SSL padlock?
- Our booking engine is usually `framed` into other sites. This is like having two browser windows in one, but you can not easily see the address line and other information, such as the SSL status (padlock), in the second browser or frame. To verify that the framed window is transmitting using the HTTPS protocol you can right click anywhere in the frame (just not on an image) and select Properties from the pop-up menu. If you look at the Address line in the Properties window, you will see that the address for the framed page is an HTTPS address.
- Did I get the tee time?
- After completing your tee time purchase, you will be shown a Thank You page. If you see that page, you have successfully booked the tee time and will be sent an e-mail confirmation containing the details for your reservation shortly.

- We are a complimentary golf service. All our charges are that of the golf course (sometimes lower with a monthly special) with the exception to Torrey Pines Golf Course, where a service and coordination fee applies.
- Is the booking fee refundable?
- The booking fee that we charge for reservations at Torrey Pines Golf Course are non-refundable as well as the actual green fee. Once a tee time at Torrey Pines is booked, you are committed to play golf. Most of the other courses have a 48 hour cancellation and are fully refundable should you cancel outside that time frame.
